Wow - what a last day....

Image
We have not had the best luck with our international  flights this trip!!We were lucky Cat got a text early this morning telling us that our flight at 6:30pm had been cancelled and we were automatically re-booked on a flight out of Narita for Monday afternoon - which didn't work so we got on with American and we were able to fly out of Haneda airport (close to Tokyo) and Cat, Dad and Denise were able to get an 11:30am through Chicago to Cincinnati,  while we were able to get two tickets for a 11:55am though LAX, then onto Austin.  while in LAX, here is their resident bomb sniffer....I wish I was making this up... Long day, but had this sweet face to welcome us home- Shout out to Jan to taking such great care of Lily!! Thank you for joining in on the fun!! Until next trip.......

A day in Tokyo

We spent our last full day in Toyko. We first went to Shibiya Scramble Crossing, Toyko's version of Times Square.   This cool intersection has maybe 6-8  streets going into it, and the intersection goes red, and all the pedestrians cross - it's fun!!! controlled chaos!!  We then met Stephen at the Toyko SkyTree, kinda like Seattle's Space Needle. lovely view and lovely time!! now heading back to the hotel to pack and get ready for our flight home tomorrow...what a trip!!!

Tokto DisneySea - what a magical place!

So, today was Disney Day for Denise, Cat, Stephen and I.  Getting there half an hour early got us a great picture of everyone else waiting to get in.... and then we were off to get into the quickest line for Journey to the Center of the Earth - 20 minutes - that was pretty good! we then got to the other Critical rides, including Tangled and Indiana Jones and Frozen - all FANTASTIC! great time had by all! Rocking the Tigger bucket hat!!!

Landed in Tokyo Disney!!!!

After some snaffos with the bullet train tickets, we got that all sorted out and back up to Tokyo we went!  We arrived in time to throughly enjoy a Raman place just outside of Toyko Disney - yum!!!!   and keeping with the Snow White theme, the mirrors in the restrooms were these and, no they didn't talk back to us....yet...
